The Fort Worth AGA chapter
received the following
awards for the 2002/2003 program year. These awards were presented at the AGA national PDC in Chicago in
July 2003:

2002/2003 Meeting Schedule
We meet on the fourth Tuesday of the month,
from September through April, at the Radisson Hotel, 815 Main Street, Fort
Worth (817-870-2100). We
meet at 11:10 a.m. and proceed directly to the buffet line for lunch.
Our chapter meeting starts at noon, with the speaker finishing up at 1:00
p.m. The cost for
lunch is $15 for members and $18 for non-members. We hold our annual golf tournament
and picnic in May.
Reservations are due by the Friday before the meeting.

canned food items thanks to the generosity of our members
- October 11, 2002
- Volunteer work at the Hangmans House of Horrors,
benefiting the Multiple Sclerosis Society. (There will be a
volunteer dinner party before this event. See Non-CPE
activities below.)
- November 2002
- Conduct food drive for the
Tarrant Area Food Bank
- Update: We donated $51 to the
Tarrant Area Food Bank from the raffle at the November meeting
- December 2002
- Chapter members buy
gifts for needy children from the Salvation Army Angel Tree
- Update: We
adopted 19 angels.
- January 2003
- Tarrant County Sheriffs Dept Toy Drive -
Tarrant
County Patrol Division accepts donations of toys for kids found in
emergency situations by patrolmen. New or slightly used toys of any kind can be brought to
AGA meetings.
- February 2003
- Collect books and money for the
Half
Price Books Half Pint Library
- March 2003
- Participate and/or work at the
Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure to fight breast cancer
- April 2003
- Participate in Call to
Protect. Collect old cell phones to be recycled.
- Collect toiletries and donate to Presbyterian Woman's Shelter.
- May 1, 2003 - Mayfest
We have received the Mayfest information. This is an
excellent opportunity to get in the park and enjoy the activities while
helping out a great cause. Mayfest needs volunteers – please let the chapter
know if you are interested, and for what shift/activity, by April 1.
